Tiffany Watson Turns to MyLife

Whilst we’re used to admiring the glamour of some of London’s poshest boroughs, Made in Chelsea’s Tiffany Watson couldn’t say the same for her bathroom in her new home. Thankfully she turned to MyLife to help create her dream bathroom, and what a project to work on!

Alongside her boyfriend Cameron McGeehan, Tiffany is renovating a Victorian property in Fulham and her home journey can be followed on @tiffanycwatsonhome.

OUT WITH THE OLD…

Tiffany will admit herself that her bathroom was in need of a refresh. Working with a tricky space, she has many grand ideas, but her focus was to keep both options of a shower and bath.

To achieve this combo in a small space, we put her in touch with Francis McGivern from New Design Bathrooms, (an interior design studio that offers full design consultation from project start to finish) to look at all possible layout options. Francis’ expertise (and knowledge of MyLife product portfolio) meant he could fully utilise the space Tiffany had to work with and create her ideal bathroom.

MAXIMISING SPACE…

Tiffany wanted to explore having a separate shower and bath, but this layout would require more space. Her options were to extend the current bathroom into the next room, which meant she would lose essential cupboard space in her kitchen, or alternatively extend the bathroom into the side return, creating a lot of additional cost.

With these options being both impractical and costly, Tiffany decided to keep the current layout, satisfied that with Francis’ help she had explored all possible options.

She decided her shower would remain above the bath, but with a modern twist. Tiffany was able to incorporate our Winslet Dolocast™ Freestanding Bath (which also served as a shower), a shower head above, a seamless glass panel to minimise splashback and a lip on the floor tiles to stop water travelling across her bathroom floor.

FINAL TOUCHES…

Once the layout was finalised it was time to delve into the look, feel and design of the bathroom. Tiffany wanted to keep everything fresh, bright, and modern, so she chose minimal black fixtures with white units and ceramics, finishing the look with white polished concrete tiles.

Tiffany added our Maya 50 Bluetooth LED Mirror Cabinet meaning she could listen to music while relaxing in the bath, plus providing extra storage space and a charging socket.

CLEVER TRICKS…

The clever placement of her Edison Wall Hung Toilet gave space to create a recess to each side; one close to the sink for shelving which can be used practically or decoratively, and the other a perfect space for her Vine Heated Towel Rail to sit snugly adjacent to the shower, the perfect distance for keeping your towels warm!

The choice of colours, product and placement in Tiffany’s final design really opens the room and makes the best use of every inch of space.

An incredible bathroom transformation we were proud to be part of!
